Nyungwe Forest is a primeval landscape — one of Africa's oldest and most biodiverse mountain rainforests, covering 1,019 km² of southwestern Rwanda. The forest shelters 13 primate species including chimpanzees and extraordinary troops of black-and-white colobus monkeys that swing through the high canopy.

The Uwinka Canopy Walkway, suspended up to 70 metres above the forest floor, is one of Africa's finest wildlife experiences — offering a bird's-eye view across the forest with remarkable birding and primate sightings below.
